Time for a road trip. I had business to attend to in Walvis, so decided that I would drive up. The first leg of the trip took me up the N7 to the border. The flowers are starting to come out near springbok.

30km after crossing the border, I turned left onto the Ai Ais road. At the T-junction to Ai Ais I turned right away from Ai Ais and headed towards the Canyon. This took me past the Canyon Lodge and then off to The Canyon roadhouse where I camped for the night. The campsite was fantastic. Each site has power, a toilet and a hot shower.

The next morning I headed off again, having to stop to let the springboks cross the road. Unfortunately it was straight into the sun so the pic did not come out.
From here it was off through Bethanie, Helmeringhausen, Maltahohe to Walvis. I stopped off at the Tropic of Capricorn for a beer and a snack.

On arrival in Walvis Bay, I met up with a mate of mine, so it was off into the Dunes for a sundowner and a braai after.
