Should only do that for two reasons:

1: Incorrect oil in the LSD (ie: regular oil), causing it to slip under load when turning.

2: 4H still selected.

LSD (assuming the oil is still good from factory install) shouldn't slip or bite when slow tight cornering on tar.

Any water at hennops?

Yea water at hennops but low. During the drowning Nissan said they check the diffs and found no issues? If stuck in 4H wouldn't there be a light on?

remove wheels and clean brake drums thoroughly -- mud in drums can cause 'em to bind ALSO check handbrake box is clean [sits on the prop shaft..

switch off diff lock :rolling:

does it only shudder when turning at low speed, or is it also when pulling away hard from a traffic light etc, particularly when turning.... Also, any mods to wheels, tyres etc?

I can only think of two reasons for a shudder that occurs only while turning, assuming the 4wd is off and the hubs have released.

The one is the LSD, and the other is if the front wheel is touching something, perhaps the stop has come undone and the wheel is rubbing against the front control arm?

I would recommend trying to determine whether the problem is at the back or at the front by jacking it up one wheel at a time (while the steering is turned to full lock), and turning that wheel to see if you can find the problem that way?

Brake drums ............... which model

I have a shudder on the rear wheels on tar due to LSD action in tight bends, but that is normal for this type of diff.

Patrol pickup is equipped with brake drums, NOT discs... if only.

LSD should only shudder under tight turn if

1: Oil is old
2: Oil is incorrect spec
3: LSD is worn

As this is a new Patrol pickup, and assuming the diff oil is still original Nissan install from factory, i find it hard to believe it is the Lsd at fault,.... BUT, it sure sounds like a LSD trademark shudder.

HOWEVER.... there is a very real chance that Nissan themselves could have installed incorrect oil...... they did it to mine.

NOTE: Peters comment on the front limiting bolt is a valid one, easy to check and fix, hope its that!
