Hi guys.
I want to know what needs to be done on a 200 000km service. I can get parts cheaper but do not know every thing to get. I can think only of a couple of things:
1: spark plugs
2: all the belts on the motor including powersteering, altenator, aircon etc.
3: enjin oil, gearbox oil and transfercase oil
4: diff oil for both diffs
5: oil, fuel, and air filters
6:

Please add. Do I have a timing belt or chain that needs to be replased?
Please help!

Hi Jorrie,

I remember reading somewhere that the fuel pump pressure should be in the order of 3,5bar? Is this correct?

Also, can you maybe indicate how and where to measure this pressure? Try as I may - Google just isn't able to get me to the fuel pump posts

Any help will be appreciated - my Patrol "se keel trek toe" when accelerating and the 200 000km service is coming up shortly.

Hi Steve

The pressure you indicate is right. I am however not the right guy to help you. Talk to Pathmaker on this forum. He is the best man to advise you. He checked my Trol's fuel pressure (215000km) and it was way too low. My Trol had similar symptoms to yours. After the fuel pump was replaced there was a significant improvement in performance.
It may be worth your whilew to read the posts in the following thread: http://www.patrol4x4.co.za/viewtopic.ph ... 549#p26272
