Agree with Sedric.

They fitted my EGT, and did a Dino.

Hi Gifgat

As jy die kar Bloem toe wil bring, kan jy A&M Dienssentrum ook kontak. Ek vat my Patrol daarna toe. Kontak besonderhede is: 051 433 2527

Groete

Chipping problems / Dyno fundis in JHB

My 2003 30TDI was chipped 2 years ago, and now I am experiencing an erratic boost / no boost problem. Installation was done by Rob Green about 25 000km ago - 3 months ago Mynhardt at SAC looked at it and reset the chip. Since then I have noticed this "now you see it - now you don't" boost. Another player is Arnold Venter at CRD, I spoke to him some time ago regarding EGT installation, but had'nt experienced this problem yet. I have also heard that quite a few people have had hassles with chips behaving in this way, and that it would be better to simply remove the chip and re set the boost & waste gate and dyno tune the vehicle to get her back to what she should be. Anyone out there with a similar experience - and which of the 3 players are the most knowledgeable with Patrols ?

My recent post with a overheating problem on inclines is hopefully being remedied as we speak - it appears as if the radiator had a leak in the past, and the guys filled it with one of those sealants that turn to cement in the radiator!! Anyhow it worked for me for the last 4 years, but now it seems as if more than half of the radiator is blocked. In the meantime I have replaced the visco fan / water pump as well as the thermostat as part of a process of elimination (damned expensive) and now a new radiator (ridiculously expensive) is next on the list which will be installed on Monday.

MY GROOT PROBLEEM WAS TOE OOK DIE RADIATOR WAT NET AAN DIE KANTE 4 OF 5 OOK KANAALE GEHAD HET, HET VAN OGGEND DAAI DUUR RADIATOR VAN NISSAN AF IN GESIT R8000 IS DARM N KLOM GELD VIR N RADIATOR. EK KAN NIE GLO NA 10 JAAR IS DAAR NOG NIE N PIRATE RADIATOR VIR DIE VOERTUIE NIE.

EK HET AGTER GEKOM DIE VOERTUIG SE TEMPRATUUR LOOP BITJIE HOOG, EN AS HY OOR 95 GRADE GAAN DAN BOOST DIE KAR NIKS MEER NIE, NOU HET EK VIR SPARTACUS GAAN RY, DIE WATER TEMP BLY SO TUSSEN 79 EN 81, BOOST IS REG ALS LOOP MOOI.

SONDER DIE CHIP IS MY EGT OOK NIE HOOG NIE, EK HET DIE CHIP TERUG GESIT EN SIEN DAT DAAR N AANSIENLIKE VERSKIL IN DIE KRAG IS ,MAAR DIE EGT IS OOK BITJIE HOOR, EK SIEN DARM NIE MEER 720 GRAGE NIE MAAR TEEN N STYL OPDRAANDE GAAN JY SO NA 650 TOE. EK GAAN DIE CHIP EERS WEER UIT HAAL EN N FOTO POST OM TE HOOR OF IEMAND WEET WATSE CHIP DIT IS ,EN OF HY GESTEL KAN WORD EN WAAR, DAN DIE TROL SOONTOE VAT OM HOM REG TESTEL

As for DIESEL i would not bother with any other than SAC .. talk to GERHARD [or Mynhardt] - the bad service I had from crd i cannot comment on how good/bad they are these days. I will not go back to them (old saying: once bitten - twice shy]

I got a radiator via SILVERTO Rads at R1 000 .. maybe try ALERT ENGINE SPARES in Pta West .. 8K for a RAD is silly
