It is time to start looking to accessorise my 2010 4.8 GRX.

Where to start looking for the following in the Jhb area?
- bull bar
- tow bar (I currently have a drop plate attached to the bumper, not sure how string it is?)
- roof rack with table and sun roof cut-out
- duel battery fitment in engine bay
- snorkel (maybe)

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Cheers
Louis

WWW Contact Ben and ask him if he can help you, have just had mine done and the front bumpers and back are from proper iron. See on this web there are fotos of Beast. His number is 083 679 4998. He is also a member of the club and his workmanship is superior to others I have seen. Get the engine protector from Peter , he is also on this site and specialises in the bash plates. He is also a member of this forum :woo:

Also talk to Grant on this forum. Although he is in Centurion, he has provided excellent service and I can recommend LA Sport Centurion.

Hi Louis,

Can concur with what has already been posted, Ben's workshop is close to where I am at and he is good.

My 4.8 GRX has pretty much all the accessories I see as important as per pic below...which might give you some ideas of what to add to your GRX.. less obvious is the dual battery system and LED interior lights.... some of the accessories where fitted by 4x4 shops others sourced direct from manufacturer and added myself.

Pieter down in the Cape has some good smaller items... his service is great and I refitted all my interior lights with his LEDs.. his website is here:

http://www.4x4direct.co.za/shop/index.p ... ex&cPath=2

Anyhow, as I am sure you know It important to shop around for prices.. as mentioned elsewhere LA Sports in Pretoria and Safari Centre are a good starting point.

Good luck with the accessorising project

Regards,

Peter

Given that I have a standard rear bumper, what type of tow bar would be best to fit?

Hi Peter, did you manage to fit a 2nd battery in the engine bay?

Hi Louis,

I have a 2nd battery fitted in back of my troll by means of a Natioanal Luna system that is accomodated in the drawer system... works a treat in that it is out of the way, very secure in bumpy conditions and still easy to access so as to attach the inverter's clips.

Cheers,

Pete
