Hi Gents,

Has any body had any good or bad experiences with the Federal Couragia M/T 's ?
On purchase of my troll in dec they fitted some maxtrek su800 tyres for me. 2500 kms later, they are hopping and will not balance!

Expecting a struggle I phoned SA Tyre's jhb rep and within a half hour, had a full set of tyres enroute at no cost, very impressive on there side!

I naturrally enquired about fitting my preferred brand of either the km2's or bighorns, so they have sent some 285 federal couragia m/t 's for me to see first at no cost? Naturrally wanting me to remain on one of their supplied brands.

This is pretty decent of them , but I am wandering of the quality compared to the known brands?

Any Advice?

Hi Tinus,
I cant seem to upload the pics that I have found of them, seems like they may be a 2 ply, the jeep chaps seem to be using them.

They are about R 3500 a tyre, so cant be too bad?

2 ply is to soft IMO why don't you go for the goodyear Mtr with 2 steel and ceflar side walls ???? Can get them for you at 2'k. For 285 75 16 33. Is the ideal size for a patrol

ThankYou, thats a good price,
I unfortunately need to deals with these guys as they are warranty replacing my faulty maxtrek.s,

He reckons most of the M/T tyres are 2 ply?
Also that them federal does not deflect like them bf's when sitting on ity with out them rim.

That is the problem when reading posts on my phone .....
They are giving you these tires as a replacement at no cost?
The Km2 has 3 ply steel and is great very good on tar too grant uses maxis and are happy with them
You need to take what they give you becouse it is a replacement for the stuffed ones.......
Give it a go and let's see how they do ?

So they're fitted,
AndThey look great in my opinion.
A slight whine on them highway, not overbearing, ride feels good, got a slight lift
now to test them out on them dirt, the tread is really aggressive so I am ambitious.
