No power with 4.8

Hi Guys
I seem to have developed a problem on my way home after doing a 4x4 Trail this weekend.
I have lost about 50% of my power in all gears and through the complete rev range, but in 3 gear she is very slugish to excelerate an seems to start
start starving or something after 3200rpm.
All was good on the trail and only once i got back on the tarmac and speeds increased did this problem start.
I did go through a deepish mudhole on the trail ,but cant see this having caused the problem.

I would really appreciate any input from the guru's on the forum.
Regards
Quentin

Van die baba boudjies wat ek al gesien het is vol poef en gladnie lekker nie :rolling:

If the intake side is clean - did you check the exhaust side? Catalytic converter blocked or bumped the exhaust on a rock?

Quintin is it running smoothly?

Also perhaps check that the hubs are not getting excessively hot, maybe a brake is binding from dirt ingress?

Check vacuum on the intake manifold - 500mb minimum that will tell you a lot about intke and exhaust conditions , otherwise is get a diagnostic tool on there and lets see what the data says , it seems like it might be something small as it was ok and then suddenly went awol , is the enigine management light on or any other light for that matter ?

You could even have dirt in your camshaft sensor. Had it once with mine going through deep muddy water.

sounds to me as if you are in "Limp mode" -- the engine sensor has picked up something - and to save the engine and BIG BUCKS expenses, it goes in limp mode .. Take it to NISSAN dealer them to to put yer Troll on the "Console" [computer if you will] and run a diagnostic [they are NOT supposed to charge for it]
Then, whem you have the read out - it will tell you exactly "what went wongh"

O - ja, laat ons ook weet WAT was fout ???

Thanks all for the info so far.
Ok so this is where we are @ present, diagnostic tool has found no logged faults,0, nada,f#kol,
Brakes are not binding,it is not in limp mode, no knocks on catalytic converter, exhaust not blocked, front hubs are not binding either,
Now cleaning the engine bay, spotless, so we can see if maybe a vacuum pipe or something has gone haywire.
I dont know, there arent realy anybody on the west coast that can work on these patrollies .What to do,what to do??????????????????????
