Gday everybody
Well when i first introduced myself, some would of Realised that i Own 3 Nissan Patrol's . Back in 2009 i was asked buy a family freind, and was asked if i was interested in getting an Old Nissan Patrol G60 from his Paddock, a Quick discussion with the Folks it was confirmed and i was Going to own a Patrol.
Well, after 2 years owning a Patrol i was hooked and knew that these Patrol are the best. I am a Regular on a Nissan Patrol forum (rmp-o) and was chatting with another member which is the closest forum member and lives only 1.5 Hours away from me place, i realised that the patrol he had brought was going to be for sale.
With the G60 being so far away from any saltwater was a Good thing, but unfortunatley the G60 Patrol was a Farm Vechile and had seen a fair share of Cattle manure, which causes rusting.
So i arranged to go and pick it up, with a mate, and luckly got a day of of school,so we hitched up the trailer and set of south for the hours drive,to pick up my new $150 Banger
When She arived home we rolled it off the trailer as the starter motor wasnt working. From there on i spent my time strippign down the red 79 to just a Bare Chassis and Drivetrain,as i was storing the Parts, out of the weather. but then i realised i shouldnt have stripped it down,as i coldnt stand the bare look of a chassis. Strangely then i decided that the next couple of weeks i planned to fit it all back.
Well the 79 is currently resting in the Paddock, Waiting for a Fuel tank to be re-fitted,and a new Starter Motor and she will live on. The plans in place for the 1979 G60 is to use it as a Farm Workhorse, and also parts, but on the farming side of it we hope to equip it with some Fire Fighting Gear and a Tank, which will come in handy around the Fire Season for reductino Burning.
