Hello Guys

It seems there are still a couple of guys interested in transfer case skidplates and bash plates.

Please let me know via PM if you want, as the bigger the batch is, the cheaper it becomes.

Regards
PC

I just want to say something about these transfer skid plates....... THEY ARE FRIGGIN BRILLIANT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last weekend at 3 Provinces I miss judged a rock and the plate took all the knock, even very very slightly bending it.....but came nowhere near my transfer case !!!

Well done Peter... was the best money spent.

The bash plate in front takes a little modification to fit it to the Y61. As supplied from Peter you need a hacksaw (as it takes longer to find and plug in the extension cable and grinder than to do the job), a drilling machine, 2 pieces of 30 x 30 angle iron and 4 decent size bolts, nuts and washers, aswell as reusing the 2 existing bolts on each side from the plastic shield thingy.

I will try take pics of the installation process so you can see how easy it is even for me with my blonde hair to fit by myself !! (Peter.... would you mind if I posted the pics here on your thread?)

Cedrick it fits perfectly on the later cars, but the earlier ones haven't got the extra bolt holes.

Please either post pics here or E-mail me, so that I can improve my design and make it even easier?

No problem, I'll try this evening to get a few pics and let you know.

Yeah the extra bolt holes are the only hiccup.... the holes are there just there is no thread inside the holes... ... the mod I did isn't looking fantastic as I used old rusty scrap angle iron to first see if this works 100 % and I think this last weekend proved it for me so now I must clean up the metal and give it a coat of paint anyway ...so its a good excuse.

Again well done to you Peter !! :salute: :salute:
