Sliding window

Hello All
Does anybody know where I can find somebody who is really jacked with automotive glass?
The fixed pane of the left hand side sliding window of my car is broken and was replaced with a piece of perspex, but this is not ideal because it rattles annoyingly. Unfortunately the correct piece of glass is extremely expensive.
I have however noticed that the side glass on a Hi-Ace is larger and has approximately the same curvature, and is a helluva lot cheaper. I am looking for somebody who can cut one for me or tell me how to cut it myself.
Thanks
