Modder was darem genoeg om te sien hoe dei wa gaan lyk met swart wiele :-) Ek dink ek moet n ander speelding kry vir modder - wat goedkoper is om regtemaak

Looks like you had fun! De Wildt is where i had the mud incident with my back bumper.......

Dink net hoe mooi gaan hy met 'n geligte suspensie lyk in dieselfde koeksister!

The cow catcher in front does take plenty away from my approach angles but did not stop me from doing ant of the serious inclines. The towbar drop plate barely caught on exit off Gert se klip, the rest was clear but luckily not much mud, I do think my bigger tyres did help.

Herman was very adamant , no difflocks or any other aids, so it was driving the line and on the first axle twister hill i stalled the car, instead of just putting foot. On one of the dipps I drove a gully and on my exit i hit the left sill very hard, luckily i just fitted rock sliders and they took it without a dent , I'm sure the running boards would have been worse for wear.

I was worried that the bigger tyres would rub, but the only slight rub i could see was on the left rear inner fender, so th only mode to fit the bigger tyres was the removal of the front mudguards which would catch on reverse.

Andries, ja jy sal baie baat by die 50mm "lift". Dis een ding om jou pad sonder vrag deur 'n hindernisbaan te vind sonder 'n hoer suspensie, maar dis 'n ander ding om met 'n swaar vrag in diep uitgeryde sandpaaie met hoe middelmannetjies teen 'n gedwonge hoe snelheid te ry. Omdat jy momentum moet behou om nie vas te sit nie, het mens nie veel beheer oor dit wat onder die voertuig se pens gebeur op so 'n pad nie. Stop om te kyk en te beplan is nie 'n opsie nie. Dis dan wat jy besef dat die "real Mcoy" van 4x4 ry in die bundus en gramadoelas gevind word en nie op die speelplekke nie. Dis daar waar mens talle plastiek bumpers, "cow catchers" en plastiek penswerings langs die roetes sien le. Ek het al gesien hoe 'n man tussen Savute en die park se noordelike hek 'n plastiek voor-bumper van sy Colt bakkie afruk en net daar los. Voordat my oorlede Patrol sy 50mm "lift" gehad het, het ek ook nogal gesukkel om al die sand, klippe, gras en stokke uit al die onderstel-holtes en bo van my brandstof tenks af te kry na 'n Linyanti trip.

I think it's 285/75 R16, effectively a 33inch tyres . I fitted BFG AT
