I am really battling to book a campsite at Savuti, I have sent E mails to
Connie.mapulalodge@info.bw ( i heard this is the best way), but no reply, also tried booking through Maun self drive. Does anyone know the best way and also park reservations!!!!
I am hoping to do a 10 day trip from April 22 to May 1 ( 3 days leave for 11 days off). The plan is :day 1 Nata , day 2 & 3 Crocodile camp, days 4,5,6, Savuti, days 7 & 8 Toro Lodge and day 9 back at Nata.
I have managed bookings at Crocodile camp and Toro lodge.
Cheers

We went to Bots in July 2010. We eventually found that the Botswana e-mail system is very poor. Try using the phone as much as possible, using the e-mail only for confirmations and such.
Good luck
Peter

Get a Chobe Park entry permit and just go. You will be ok. I did 3 extensive Botswana trips, including all those areas, never booked any accomodation and never being chased away. It leaves you with muuuuuch more flexibility in any case.

we were in 2008 - found the bathroom / toilets NOT clean [take slip-ons with to shower] The "outer camp" has MEAN thorns - dont let the kids go barefoot (AMPER tik ik "bearfoot"

) - Oh, and on the little ridge towards the river, that sand is not sand - it is talcum powder ... wragtag, ik lieg'ie
- maar as jy nou daar naby genoeg ios - gaan vang tog 'n middag dippie by 3-rd Bridge [oppas net - die water is koel] (ja, daar is krokkies)
