Got hold of a home build drawer system from a Discovery 2. Bought it and modified it to fit in the Patrol.

It is getting closer to what I want. The ideal is that whatever we need for trails, camping, overlanding should stay in the car. Only prep required would be to pack clothes, food, fill up petrol and water and off we go.
Most trips are spur of the moment and the car must be ready to handle it.

Jules, I get jealous of the guys with their trailers and caravans stopping at the side of the road and making a cup of coffee with such ease and decided I needed the same flexibility in my car.
In now take me a minute to connect the gas and put the water on.

Abri , nog een ding wats daar bo die cutlery tray, is dit n fles of wat ?
En die tafel trek dit slegs uit as n werksoppervlak of dien dit ook as n opvoutafel

Koos my kompressor sit bo die cutlery laai.
Ek het die 3de ry sitplekke uitgehaal om plek te maak vir die laaie.
Dit is slegs 'n werksoppervlak. Ek het 'n apparte opvou tafel wat op die rr gaan.

Abri, looking at your rear doors I foresee a boerewors roll to go with that coffee.

:mytwocents: All you need now is a little awning over the rear so you can make that coffee and boerie in style. What about something like the foxwing (http://au.oztent.com/products/viewProdu ... ductid=166) to connect to your side awning? I know you and your boet can!

What are you doing with the space between the 2nd row seat and the drawer system?

Stadig nou eers.

Space between the seats and drawers is just enough to fit medium sized bags, sleeping bags and pillows. I might also fit a 50l watertank there. Will still decide.

SWAMBO took it quite serious when I said that the car should always be ready. You see it is her doing the packing. I do the loading.
Yeah the boerie will go down nice
