Hey Guys,

So once again I am looking to you awesomely intelligent men on this site for some advice

I found this in Gumtree, I would love to have a project patrol :)... Can someone please advise as to whether or not this seems a good or bad deal? I don't want to call and get details if it is not worth it.

Thanks
Margo

Hey Ruben,

Thank you for writing :) There are quite a few things that I am considering at the moment. The lifting and new shocks are a definate... Bigger tires??? EEEEK my tires are so heavy as it is, can you imagine me trying to change even bigger ones... hahaha. As for the car im looking at, I am just looking for a real bush car, one that I am not going to cry if it gets a eina.

Oompi had a look at the black faced trol - pictures look good - BUT there is a thread on this forum [not sure who's - but Sias and Frans had inputs there]
Frans gives very solid advice on there - Main issue with such conversions - it always is a "trial & error" long term gespook. IF you are very mechanical and have the ability to fix as far as you go it might be an option. Otherwise, pretty girl like you, should stick to reliable vehicles.

Take Lobo for instance: - original, standard - MANY MANY miles on the odo - but I would take it to Namibia, Botswana, Angola ... and not have worries if I 'll return - I know I will. It will take me there and back. (en behoede die agie wat hom probeer hi-djek  ]
