Y61 Patrol - breaking for parts

Relax, I'm not murdering Chuck Norris!

Wally Bentley bought a wrecked 2003 Patrol 4.5 to scavenge some parts off it for his own vehicle. The Patrol had extensive front damage (no surprise there!) and had no engine, gearbox, front diff or transfer case to start with. Since then he's also used most of the left side to repair his own vehicle...

It still has everything else: rear diff, rear barn doors & glass, RH doors & glass, interior and a rolling chassis that he'll break up and sell as spares.

Wally lives in Kameeldrift (in Gauteng) . Contact him at +2782-572-9810 for more info.

PS: I've depsed the LR brake caliper because mine lost a fastening bolt & subsequently had a scrap with the inside of the rim at the AGM day. This resulted in a cracked caliper, a gouged rim and a LR wheel refusing to turn every now & again. Not sure what type of mechie changed the brake pads last, but he's obviously never heard of Loctite!

I also have a roof console to fit - maybe we can compare notes or have a fitment party in December? I'm missing the temperature sender for mine, can just imagine what our friends at Nissan's P&A department will want for a new one

Now that sounds like a plan !!..... I want to do my back "dummy" light too.... and fit a buzzer for when I leave my lights on and switch off the ignition. I seem to always forget the damn thing on.... blonde hair!! :rolling:

when are you going through there?

I wonder what it would cost to ship that rear diff down to cape town?

I'm collecting my caliper from Wally tomorrow, will put out price feelers for the diff.

Cedric, Velleman's K3505 kit does just that - more detail here: http://www.vellemanprojects.eu/distribu ... w/?id=9153. They're available for just over R100 from most electronic hobby shops or online from the likes of Electronics 123 or Rabtron. Half an hour with a soldering iron and another half an hour to install...

Christo, I would be interested in the set of right hand front door hinges, please. That is, if I can find a way of getting them stripped off and posted (I don't think I will be able to make it up there to the wreck).

Many thanks.

Blokes, you'll have to contact Wally directly...

I placed the ad on his behalf (he does not belong to our forum being a Pajero owner) and have never seen his "stukkende" Patrol. I did get to meet with him at LA Sport in Pta yesterday to get my rear left brake caliper, so I can also report that has looks quite normal (two legs, two arms, etc.) and that he drives a diesel Golf on tar.

If he has the bits you want I get it off him on your behalf and give it to you at the next outing. Or you may ask Cedric(ster) to do the same for you - he's also going to collect some parts from Wally.

But that's about that...
