Strange phenomenon,....with pics

Took my seats out today to find out my they were rattling (see other thread) , but while i had them out i took out the carpet (ok , vinyl, and soundproofing) as i could see alot of dust and grime. However, too my horror i found a crap-load of sand and stones, and i mean a lot! how did this get in here, as there are no reasonable way they could have made it there,...please help..
This is what else i found other than sand and stones...
38 dead wasps in various states of rigger-mortise
A Scooters Pizza fridge magnet
6 Cigarettes in various states of structural integrity
About 200 loose staples
2 yellow BB Gun Pellets
lots of random papers and bits of stuff
About 5 news species of moths! (never seen before in my life - bright, big, scary!)
A colony of strange little beetles the size of a tiny ant (luckily all dead)
And a live .22 Cal round
(which i only saw at the last minute before being sucked into my Extra Heavy Duty Kirby vacuum cleaner, which at that point i was sure the velocity of the spinning impeller was going to set that round off, which resulted in me diving for cover. luckily nothing happened and i got the bullet out.
Here's where you chaps must check, specially if you like water crossings, as this kind of stuff will never dry under there and more than likely start the oxidisation process , yes people, rust, and rust is just like that middle son who's in jail, everyone knows about it but nobody talks about it. Dont let it get that far, check yours today! and tell me how the hell it gets there.... here's the pics
