Hennops 4x4 Trail - 19 June 2010

So after the hair-raising time spent at Hennops Pride, I had sworn to myself that for me trail driving (at least in Gauteng) had come to an end and was an unecessary evil that serves only to endanger your beloved 4x4. After all, the Patrol was bought to go on journeys to epic destinations in SA and beyond, and lets face it, a patrol is a large vehicles to manouvre on technical 4x4 trails. Much better to tear around dunes like the guys in CT
So having made up my mind, today, just 1 week later, I found myself at the proper Hennops 4x4 trail.... clearly i couldnt keep away!!
And I'm so glad I went - had a fantastic time... really enjoyed the trail, not challenging for the Patrol itself, but great in that it allows the driver the confidence to learn about the vehicle and the way it handles without the overriding fear of doing serious damage (although anyone can seriously damage their 4x4 on any trail, so the learning/experimenting was done with an element of common sense).
Went with a mate of mine from work, and another colleague who we're working on to get himself a 4x4
I've taken the liberty to share some pics..
