Funny electrical plug

Hello Gents

Maybe I should have PM'ed Frans with this question but maybe I am not the only clueless person on the forum.

At the back of the Patrol, just underneath the rear windows (inside the cab) there is a electrical power point that is covered by a round removable cover that does not even resemble the Hella plug or the other small round one. (Man I feel dumb describing it).

I cannot find any reference to this in the owner manual. If a photo will help to identify, please say the word and I will snap away and post.

Are you not referring to the normal "lighter" plug? (i.e. below left hand rear window)

Hello

No. On this one the points are more like a computer USB plug

It sounds like an custon aftermarket installation. A picture will help!

Definately not standard - must be an aftermarket installation. Post a Photie so we can see what it looks like.

If you are refering to the plug on the left, it's not an electrical plug but as far as I can tell it's a light duty tie point to secure a light object (I have a stretchie cord from that to the hand rail then down to the seat belt opening, that holds my small plastic camping table against the side of the window ) :mytwocents:

Yes,Dennis and there are a plastic insert missing in the middle that flair the light duty's hooks on the inside of the pannel to keep it in place. That hole in the middle is were the insert fits into and are confuesed for a soccet.
