Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

i'm in the market for my first Patrol. There is a 2003 3.0 TD for sale it has 181000km on the clock and was wondering if anyone would be able to comment on the do's and don'ts when looking at a 2hand Patrol, I'm planning to have a look at this one. What sould one pay for a patrol like this ?

I have that same model, with a little less KM on the clock. When I bought mine in OCT 2009 it had 118000KM on the clock and I paid R 169000 from a Nissan Dealer.

The first thing to look at is the service history. I would insist on a AA test and look at the smoke coming from the exhaust on cold start and driving behind it under load.

If you can, talk to the previous owner if it is standing at a Dealer.

Maybe if you are close to one of the forum members ask us to go with you to have a look because we know what it should "feel" like

Thank you for your input the patrol is standing at a used car lot

Spoke to them today thay want R 169000 for it i don't know with 181000 km

That sounds just a bit much if a hear what u payed for yours.

The big question is at what stage do you start to get the BIG REPAIR BILLS ?
