Since he is not saying how/what he did, I can only speculate, but possibly he took his 4.8 for flying lessons?

Hier is hoe Charles dit gedoen het. Ek haal aan.

Die resep vir die ongeluk is soos volg:

1. Dis plein so maklik soos om deur n gat te ry so groot soos n klein sitkar!
2. N vol gepakte Trol (amper 4 ton )
3. GEEN! drank
4. Nie dit gesien voor dit klaar te laat was nie !
5. Sand Duine!
Dit bly gevaarlik al ken jy dit!

As dit n ander kar was het ek nie die huis op uie stoom gehaal nie !
Die Karre is regtig so hard soos klip ! Ek sal nog 10 ry as dit moet !''

Hi Guys, sorry I have not been on the forum for sometime. Almost moved to Singapore. Been living here on and off since June last year. Should hopefully be more in SA from now on.
As for the Patrol.
You have heard what Dennis said. I have not had the opportunity to drive it yet as I am still in Singapore, but I get back 2nd March and cannot wait to see what this thing can do. I see a little dune day coming up!!!
Forget the pictures, I think a little video is called for   !!
I will keep you all posted once I am back.

Got the Patrol back from Dennis, lasted a day and the engine mounts the original guy put in melted, so ended up with the headers sitting on the steering column.
Dennis took it back and re engineered the engine mounts.
Got the vehicle back last Thursday, and left for a holiday trip to Arniston.
Well this has to be the nicest conversion that I have ever driven. Heaps and heaps of smooth power.
Remember my beast sits on 35's! Flew up Sir Loweries fully laden. The long hills to Arniston, left her in 5th, climbed them no prob at 120km/hr.
But let her loose, and Man this thing flies. Absolutely awesome power!!
Wheel spins in 1st & 2nd, I had to back off at 150 in 4th as I was battling to keep it in a straight line, and I haven't even hit the limiter yet.
I return to Singapore tomorrow, so sent it back to Dennis to build a snorkel & finish off a couple of things.
After not having driven it for over 2 years, I am glad I waited it out.
Now to get back from Singpore again, to go really play!!!! :woo: :woo:

That's fantastic news Alan! Bet you're glad you persevered - a lesser man would have quit a long time ago.

Sounds awesome - what does the fuel consumption look like compared to a 4.8???
