Abri

So, I am thinking about the Koni / Dobinson route for my Patrol. I don't neccessarily need more lift, but am after a better ride on dirt roads and on tar. I have contacted Steve re Koni prices. Where do I get Dobinson Springs from?

Just bought Koni's for the rear. R1500 per shock for the 82-2348 adjustable shock.
For those interested, I thought I was clever and bought 4 Pro-Comp's and fitted it due to the much better pricing. Swambo refused to get into the Patrol due to the excessive bodyroll. Phoned Hi-Q Boksburg where I bought it and got the best service in years. Riaan told me to bring it back and refunded me in full. Drove from him to Steve and bought 2 Koni's for the back.

Will install today and update.

I have had the Dobinsons 3" kit installed now for about 3 months, and I am very happy with it. Was R5k cheaper than OME, and I think it rides softer than stock suspension.

Hey ge4nts - Oompie urgently needs full set of blade springs for LOBO ... not Iron Man nor O M E has any for the GU Safari [Patrol] and the ptice for the 60 series L C is wayyyyyyy too much.
Any advice please?
[I had it re-tensioned at Pretoria Spring Works but they messed it up, it was worse than a go-kart ... ZERO suspension.
took it bak - they changed this n that - and that lasted for 3600 Km --- shot again - took it back today, the reset the front blades and took one blade out ... they were 'too busy' to attend to the rears.

Daai goed stam my brekvis uit my system uit - ek voel soos katteskiet elke mor5re assik Dwergie werkl toe ry ... :helpsign:

Raad asseblief :oldtimer:

hi Gents,

I am in the process of lifting my GQ with a 90 mm XJS kit. The coils and shoks have been fitted but I am waiting for my Panhard rods as the diff has moved around a 100mm to the right.

My castor correction kit is being fitted and should be in in a week. Will keep you all up to date on the progress.

Estimated lift from the OME 50 MM KIT IS N ADDITIONAL 100 MM.

Regards

Grant
