Koos,

Hoop my inset is ietsie werd vir jou.

Hi John,

Ya cost is a major factor - it is not cheap!!

But I can tell you this - you will not be sorry for the money you going to spend - it is all worth it!!!! My Patrol is on its second set of OME's now - you looking at a good 100 - 110 000 km life span - even more depending on use.

Have you tried Hein Burnett from Burnco - when I replaced my OME kit last year November I phoned several installers and Hein's quote was by far the cheapest. I installed the OME 981 rear (heavy duty) and OME 971 front (medium) - but I wanted that setup because I tow a lot.

Hope it helps the decisioning process - money wise I can't!!

Try Mark at LA sport in Montagu Gardens. He will be cheaper than the OME's and the quality is the same, maybe better. Bigger shock, longer gaurentee. Try him at 082 401 9388 number and tell him that you spoke to Francois. I got my full set with caster bushes for +-R11 000. The caster bushes alone were R1900.00 if my memory serves me right.(as ek reg onthou) My english is not what it should be.
Hope this help.

Hi All,

Ok - Got my Trol back this afternoon - airlifts is fitted  . It is amazing what the airlifts do to ride comfort (or discomfort if too hard) on an empty vehicle - can't wait to hit the road tomorrow!! And the controller unit I had installed to inflate / deflate the airlifts from inside the Patrol is amazing - it works like a dream - no getting out!!!

My radio is now in the overhead sunglass holder nice and high and out of the way - looks nice!! I stole the idea from Tjaard - he posted a photo with his radio there!! - Thanks Tjaard!! :salute:

Now I just need to get my tyres - 305/70/16 Cooper STT's - hopefully it will arrive by end September!!

Will post some photies when I am back - but for now I am going to do some leka camping, relaxing and some serious :layrubber: !!!

See ya all next week - have a splendid long weekend!! :salute:
