I will duplicate this on the parts wanted as well .. but I hope someone sees this
I need a STEERING DAMPER for iNyajthi .. the one on him seeps oil.
I mean like the one off your Trol which you replaced with a TJM or some such ??? The old Patrol one will serve me for now

So experienced the death wobble this morning. Not fun at all!
Ive always had a bit of a shake at 80km/h, but I always accelerate through 80 quite quickly. This morning though I was behind a truck at 80, and the wobble just got worse and worse until I had to bring the car to a dead stop to get rid of the shaking.
I'll start with the wheel balancing, hopefully its just that. The bearings were recently checked by michael, as well as new tie rod ends installed, so holding thumbs its just the wheels!

Quite likely the balancing, especially after the "exercise" your tyres had on Saturday. I had a slight wobble at 100 on my 31's, after fitting the 33's last week it has almost disappeared which makes me think they were slightly out of balance.

some ideas:
Panhard rod Bushes or bolts not tight
It is not uncommon for bearings to develop "play" after servicing. check those.
the Kingpin bearings may be worn, but this is unlikely

This I found happening few times.....check it first

Thanks guys, I'll get under the car this afternoon with a spanner and see what I find.

I do think it might just be tyres though, as I say, its always had a slight wobble at 80km/h. And, what I find interesting is its at its worst first thing in the morning, as if cold tyres make it worse?

I wouldnt have this sht with 35s I think!

Careful

Some things to consider:
- When the bearings are cold they have more play....
- If you persist driving it with that little wobble your tyres also get a little whobbled.

- Therefore, balance tyres and rotate front to back
- Reset the front wheel bearing tension

Then only look for something else

Pretty sure it will be worse on bigger tyres.

Jack it up and check for play in the wheel bearings. Then start checking for anything else that's loose. If you find nothing, rotate the tyres and see if that makes a difference.

Just kidding about the bigger tyres. I can only imagine the wobble with big tyres. Must be terrifying.

I had the 80 - 100km/h wobble many years back. Turned out to be kingpin bearings after tightening wheel bearings and replacing tie-rod ends. Just my opinion, but get those kingpin bearings checked, maybe do a test by removing the shims top and bottom of each side. Careful though, if it lands up too tight your steering will not return to center easily and you could cause an accident. Mine is perfect now even with 33" muddies or even when i had 33' A/T's.
