Sorted the safety belt issue out. Moved the outside buckle to the centre. Made a "bracket" with angle iron and secured it to one of the mounting holes for the original seat. Works lekker. This seat got an anoying rattle.

Maak net seker jy gebruik die regte HT boude vir jou seatbelt stalk. Die fabriek gebruik vir n rede daay baie fyn draad boute sodat mens niks anders daar kan indraai nie......jy wil nie he n bout of iets moet fail as jy in n ongeluk kom nie

Ek is nie seker wat die wet hier by ons se nie, maar dis n redelike storie op seatbelt anchor points in n voertuig te sit. Dit moet ge reinforce wees en moet n sekere hoeveelheid force kan vat voor hy breek.

MAW mens kan nie n seatbelt mount op enige plek waar n bout kan in pas nie. Ook die brackets wat jy gebruik moet aan sekere vereistes voldoen.

Kyk na hiersie artikel, dit is die US wet ek dink, maar glo nie dis baie anders as hier nie

Ek kyk nou eers na jou fotos en ek moet se ek sal verseker nie daai modifikasie vertrou nie. So ver ek sien is daar net een bout in en die seatbelt stalk gaan n "leverage" efek he op die bout wat hom baie swak gaan maak

Dis die oorspronklike bout wat gebruik was om die sitplek vas te bout, hy is sterk en glo nie dit sal sommer breek nie.
Ek hoor wat jy sê oor die leverage, maar het die gat juis nie reg op die punt geboor nie om dit te minimaliseer. maw indien kant waar veiligheidsgordel vas is op getrek word, sal teenoorgestelde kant af teen bak druk. Maar die ding is baie styf vas.

Dit sal interressant wees om te sien hoe hierdie veiligheidsgordel op Tinus se bakkie ge-anker is. Ek vermoed dit is ook net met een bout vas. Tinus?

Fanus ek hou ook nie van daai plan van jou nie.

Die afstand tussen die gat waar die stingel nou gemonteer is, lyk ten minste twee keer so ver van die monteer-gat as die punt. Dit beteken jy sit ten minste dubbel die lading op daai bout as waarvooor hy ontwerp is.

Ek sal graag wil sien hoe die fabriek dit doen voor ek verdere voorstelle maak.
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.
