Re: Swazi trip = Moegatle !!!!!
My vehicle's sagging leaf springs don't have too much flex, how much would lsd help in a situation like this?Alex Roux wrote: The most flexible axle vehicle will not do Koos se klim, unless the rear diff either locks or has traction control.
The reason for that is, it is too scew/steep. Gravity pulls the wheels down (which is vertical), but if you are moving 43deg up, a force pulling the wheel vertically down does not help. So you need lockers.
But don't stress, as Cedric says: in our group we respect each other enough in this regard.
The first time I was there, I gave Koos a skip. I did not have the nerve. Some did, and others opted out. Each decision is respected. Second visit I went up. Not sure yet what I wil do this weekend.
I have never been to Moegatle, so will have to see what happens. Maybe next time round I can bring the GRX.... I got more faith in the GRX's offroad abilities than the pickup's...

Fanus
Your red patrol (with the gender-confused tyre cover) is definitely better suited. More flex and rear lockers.
Now I am not so sure I want to do it again.
I am going to lose a bit of sleep before Saturday...

That was not exactly planned, but I also recall your missus (Lana) took this video and thought I am coming back down in a very sudden unplanned manner. So she ducked with camera and all.ricster wrote:Alex....That Witblits of yours is going to LOVE it there again.....hahahaha. I remember the one trip, I think he got that front wheel up so high I could have stood underneath his Patrol!!!
