Can we use one for the sparewheel unit so that the sparewheel rubber do not touch the door?

It will help, but depending on what size sparewheel you have, it may not be enough

My sparewheel is also 285x75R16 and that is why it is touching the door because th standard tyre of 265x75R16 did not touch the door.

I'm not sure to be honest, my bracket is spaced away from the door and then I have the spacer on too. it makes putting the wheel cover on just soo much easier as there is now quite a decent size gap between the door and tyre side wall.

We checked you need to space about 20mm for a 33 to clear
