Right, just thought I'd post some photos of the bumpers I have.

Excuse the photographs - they're not the best, but I took them with the bumper inside the garage and nobody to help me hold it and similar...

Firstly - my father's.

As can be seen, it has seen better days.

Large crack and scratch on the front right. Scratch is visible on the outside and the inside. The bumper is also slightly deformed (the "tab" that is supposed to clip over the stiffener also bent).

As mentioned, the centre piece is relatively fine. A few scratches and similar (which is expected as a result of the age of the vehicle).

The left hand side is actually not too bad. It seems a little "floppy", but I guess that is just because that most of the attachment studs / bolts on the left are missing (highlighted).

Secondly, a picture of my trol's bumper (David - it is yours, as we discussed.

It is in very good nick. Perhaps one or two scratches (I don't recall actually seeing any, but maybe there are some).

I am hoping that fitment of my new bumper will occur this week, which means that it will be ready for collection this week. I'll arrange as soon as I know.

So, summation:

My father's bumper goes to drean (this one is already available - please let me know how you want me to get it there).
My bumper goes to David (Mini Patrol) when it's removed.
My winch plate goes to David (Mini Patrol ultimately), but will first take a short trip to Peter Connan for "reverse engineering".

That leaves me with the following available:

1: Stock plastic "bash plate" / dust cover thing.
2: Stock front recovery point.
3: My wrap-around nudgebar (as per photo above).

If anyone needs anything, please let me know.

Thanks Ian.

I am going to make the following suggestion.

I collect the both bumpers and the winch plate from Ian and bring them to my place as I am more centrally situated in Midrand.

I will deliver the winch plate to PC or Tinus who is just up the road if he is seeing PC.

I will let Drean know when I have removed my bumper after the Transkei trip and he can have both collected from me.

Thanks David.

Depending on timing, maybe you don't need to deliver, I could potentially bring some tools and come and measure it at your house. Shouldn't take more than an hour at the most.

Drean - my father's bumper includes a nudgebar. It's only a nudgebar on the centre piece though (refer my previous post). If you'd prefer my wrap around nudge bar, you're welcome to it. Considering the fact that you are currently bumperless, there will be no charge. You can buy me a beer some time.

Let me know.

David,

Bad news. I spoke with Summit yesterday, and my new bumper will still not be ready this week.

It is a little annoying - they were paid up front and seem to have cocked this up quite seriously.

You can collect, or I can drop off. The drive through to Midrand does not bother me. :)

I will let you know when all is available.

Drean - it can probably be modified.

It seems to have two plastic "cups" which fit over the "bumps" in the standard bumper, and then bolts on from the back. As such, it could probably be modified to fit a Disco. Not sure what it will look like.

I'm not going to disassemble it before collection / whatever, so I'll leave it on and also ship my wrap around down to you. If it works on the Disco, perfect. If not, and you don't make use of it, please let it go to someone deserving.
