Ek so jaar of 2 gelede probeer om my eie roofrack uit aluminium te maak, maar die prys van die materiaal, voete en sweis ens was redelik naby aan wat dit sou kos om een van die bekende name te koop.

Ek sal baie graag 'n stel van die voete wil hê as hulle werk.

Stefan ek sal jou op hoogte hou of dit werk of nie. Lyk my ek kry dit eers volgendeweek Woensdag of Donderdag. My probleem is met vervoer van Jhb, maar een van ons kliente gaan goed haal in Jhb Woensdag en hy sal dit sommer saambring.

The Roof Top Tent caused a bit of problems with the top frame. I had to make some changes to the frame. This is what I am thinking of.
I do not want to raise the RTT to much due to drag. I can fit 4 Jerry cans on the back as well. The Jerry can brackets will be the next project.

I finished the roof rack and received it back from the powder coating yesterday. I am not the best at taking photos during a project but here is some.
The roof rack cost about R2200 with labor. The material was: R340 for the 25mmx2mm pipe, Feet was R65 with the nut and thread bar, Powder coating was R520 for everything. That is R1380 for material.

I climbed onto the rack yesterday and it seem strong enough. I weigh about 100kg and I could stand on one brace and it did not bend. I am fitting the rooftop today. Will post some more photos.

It is steel. It weighs about 12.5 kg after the powder coating and welding.
