I remember something about that Tinus, but I think it was for the wheel axle bearings, not the swivel bearing. I need to either take a shim out on mine, or replace those top and bottom bearings.... just don't know the numbers

Welll.... I figured what the hell... let me take the shims out and see if there is a difference.

Oh yes !!! my steering is now firmer and I have NO wobble at 80-100 Km/h....nothing ....zero....nada.... boggerall..... iziko.....niks !!!!!!!!!! :blonde: :blonde: :blonde:

I should have done this ages ago. I will however look at getting new bearings and replace the old ones and put the shims back. But as a temp fix it is perfect and took me around 30 mins per side with cleaning the old grease out and repacking new grease in!! The 2 bolts close to the steel plate that covers the steel brake disc did take a little effort to get out but anyone could do this job without any hassle..... was so quick I didn't even remember to take pics.... :surprised:

Ricster, Just a heads-up though,... depending on the amount of driving you do, expect the wobbles to return in a few months. Unfortunately thats just what happens.

Russ.

Yip... This is definitely not a permanent fix, just a temp fix till I get my donkey into gear and buy the new kingpin bearings. Then I'll put the shims back to get the correct tension
