Alex so does this mean I should not get the little flags to plant on the little "mountains"? :blonde: :rolling:

Yes it seems like this will be a great trip and I hope Nissan joins the party.

Can anyone comment if it is o.k. to take this road to get to the river entry point? (as on pic), or is it better to drive through Modjadjiskloof and then climb on the R81? With focus on condition of road, informal settlements, cattle in the road, etc..

Ek is meer bekommerd oor die tyd wat dit sal neem om tot by die rivier te kom, indien hierdie pad baie sleg is sal dit vinniger wees om die R81 te vat?

Not sure how the flags work, but the toilet paper arrived today by courier from Cape Town :blonde:
So it is official, every vehicle will get one roll.
This way I can get to know all the people that will be on this trip.
This trip better be epic, even with all the late cancellations, because the new "Briekmerk" obstacle (at At-se-Gat), as yet unconquered, will be driven (hopefully) for the first time on this same weekend.

Yes, but on 8 August there is a new obstacle that will be attempted, called Briekmerk.
Other thnan that there is a 'Z' turn that the longwheel base vehicle cannot do.
It is about 10km North of Brits

So the toilet paper is sorted, maybe now would be a good time to start getting ready then.... time is getting shorter.

Still have to get to frontrunner to pick up 2 sets of brackets to fit the two rooftop tents. Then make a slide for the 32l fridge. The new bumper needs to get welded.

Vhf radio needs to get connected and then hopefully I can start packing.
