Alex makes a good point that maybe Kareekrans is just a little bit too far for those wanting to do it as a day trip.

I have not been to either Kareekrans or AtSeGat and wouldn't mind either option.
It will be good to get away for the weekend. Even the obstacle course at Karee Krans sounds good so we can see if we are as capable as our Patrols

I'm happy to join for an overnight, and I've voted Heidelberg and Karee... poor Patrol hasn't done anything in two months

The sites have electricity and water. Nearly all have a braai. There's plenty of shade. Even the little camps in the bush have water, braai and some even have flushing toilets.
It's not de wildt, but it's got the stuff you need.

Ok so it looks like although Karee krans got the most votes, their is a need for a venue closer to Gauteng for the "day visitors".
That then leaves us with At se Gat or Heidelberg.
Anthony indicated that At se Gat has got the basics but I don't know if there is much else to do than 4x4 - Anthony???
Heidelberg asked me to give them a call after 16h00 so will get some detail then - Anybody been there that knows what its like and what there is to do?

So I redefined the poll so please go and vote again... sorry but as it is a long weekend we have to give the option of camping otherwise people might choose not come at all as they don't want to "waste" an entire long weekend just on one day of 4x4.
