I got great service ,yesterday I contacted Nissan customer care by E mail and told them about my 2005 dashboard,( it only started blistering a few months ago) I got an E mail and an SMS, with a case number and a follow up phone call that the part is being sent to my local dealer at no charge for the dash.
I will let you know what the labour cost is. It is so nice to get great service.
I have a colleague who had a B class Merc, after a year ( in warranty) he reported that the centre consol arm rest felt soft. Merc told him its OK, a year later the vinyl cracked. Merc's response !! " sorry out of warranty, it could the hand cream your wife is using"

got "Baines" back this morning with his shiny new dash
Big thanks to Jacques & Basetsana @ Nissan and to Amanda at Rob's Nissan.
There are not many motor companies that would do this under good will.
New shiny dash, petrol coming down again in a week, time for a new trip

I'm pleased you have gotten this sorted out!!!
Jacques at Nissan South Africa has often been behind the scenes with regards to sorting out all the problems that the dealers don't get sorted out. Most often he will never even get a thank you ( this site being the exception )from the customer as they don't even realize the influence he has and probably don't even realize he is involved, yet he carries on doing what he does best. I believe he has been there in that position for a loooooong time, probably longer than his predecessors ...hahaha. Well Done Jacques !!
I will forward this to Jacques and his team at Nissan SA as I know they ( Nissan SA ) don't jump onto these forums as much as they should
