Yes. The plan is to still use the feet. I made a few changes after I made a paper cutout prototype. My angles and length was a bit wrong. I should have them by Monday.

That roofrack looks good!

By the way, what is a good cushion material to put at base of the feet where it meets the gutter - I had a front runner installed at the shop, and was surprised to see that it was metal on metal.
Surely there should be something to protect the gutter area??

I am going to use the foam strips that you can buy at Midas and other hardware stores.
That should be ok. Otherwise you can buy small rubber strips from an automotive rubbers shop.

That foam strip degrades quite quickly from UV.

I have been using duct tape, but I am sure there must be a better solution.

Feul line works well for me just cut it one side

Have a look at 4x4 MegaWorld. I have an African Outback rack form them. They insert a solid plastic strip which protects the gutter. Definitely not metal on metal.

I looked at the suggestions and decided thatthe foam strip is no where near strong or resilient enough to add any protection (I tested some).
I decided to try some thin hosepipe (measures 9mm diameter).
See pictures below - this definately seems strong enough to cope with the pressure/weight exercted on the foot peices.
