Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

What would be interesting if all Patrol participants keeps accurate record of their trip and the Trol consumption, as this will be a case where all are traveling more or less the same route and driving the same "offroad adventure".

Would be interesting to see the good and the bad consumption - like mine of 1.9km/l in the river last year

Are we going on with Petrol vs Diesel debate on trip?

22 Petrol and 10 Diesel as it stands now!

This will be very interesting to see, but I think the diesels will do very good fuel consumption wise in the river

I agree, but not debating anything.... the proof of the pudding is in the riverbed....

So I have been looking at some numbers and am wondering about the following

Vertrek Donderdag 06 Augustus van waar ook al jy gewoonlik jou hoof ter ruste le......
Dondrdag aand kamp ons in die Molotots.

It is 390km from Pretoria and we will probably take 4hours to get there. Where in the river will we meet to set up camp? Is there a usual spot that is used and is there coordinates for this?

Im putting this on the table because we will be leaving Pretoria around 3pm so we will be arriving at night.
Do we just enter the river and drive untill we se the biggest Patrol gathering in SA?
