Mr Graham.... aka Pathfinder, what you did today for this event just proves your passion for the Patrol community. You my friend are a legend, and may only good things come to you !!
Here's the story....We were told to all put our names in a hat as Graham had donated a prize..... and not a Mickey Mouse prize.... but a beautiful Karcher pressure washer, and not a little baby one..... a kick ass one. So we are all sitting there enjoying the smell of braai meat braaing and an ice cold Hunters Dry, and Marnus is jiggling the names in the hat to mix them up, getting ready to draw a name.
Now, I'm so unlucky that if Cameron Diaz had triplets..... I'd be the one that's bottle fed, but ..... I WON !!!
Thanks Graham !! You are a legend !!!

Thanks Marnus and everyone ellse who made this event possable, it was loads of fun!! It is really a pitty I could not stay for the braai as I had some things to sort out at home.
Must say that it does not matter how old you are, as soon as the opertunity presents itself for a dounut or a rally sprint you feel like a little boy again and thats what makes it so much fun!!

Although i was a late comer I still had great fun. Thanks to my navigators who coached me around the track. Despite their best efforts I still managed to come unstuck on one corner.
thanks to the organisers it was great fun.

For those that weren't there, the first (and main) event of the day was a rallysprint-stage. The track started off pretty bumpy, but by the end there where patches of sand so deep and soft, I reckon Cruisers could get stuck in them! Wow was it dusty.
Christo was the man to beat, followed closely by Graham:

Cedric tried hard to defend the MSSG's:

Michael also tried:

David also kicked up some dust:

But not as much as Wayne:

Tinus also showed hom much a 4.8 can spin:

But nobody could beat the mighty GQ's!

Peter, thank you for the action pics! It was dangerous lonely and dirty work.
Also don't be so humble , you beat me by a second or two on both runs!
We were amazingly similar in time. Both 4.5 motors with sparkplugs in Gq bodies with 33 muds and slightly mad drivers.
Only difference - you with carb fed motor and manual gearbox and me with EFI and auto box. And you had a helmet!
I daresay - we will have to go back for "confirmation" of the results......
