Into the corner she goes as the engine now gets all of the attention for a while. They are also doing some nice custom engine mounts. Check the video in the link below

The next phase is just engine prepping and ensuring everything is as it should be and fixing everything that is not up to standard. Timing belt and idler pulleys getting replaced.

For those wondering how your sump could look like when a backyard mechanic is entrusted with your pride and joy, here is what they did with this patrols previous engine to get the sump a bit more backwards. They cut a hole into the block and welded in their own design.

New sump is on and also checked for shavings and topped up with new fluids.

Next step is the transfercase and boy did they screw this one up! Braam reckons they used a grinder with a sanding disc and check the ruler on the adapter to determine how flat it is, yikes!

The workmanship on that sump looks excellent, but it also looks rather small to me? What is the capacity and how does it compare to the standard sump?
Could just be that I am used to the 10l sumps on the TB42, 45 and TD42...
