My idea too, however I called Heidelberg Nissan, my VIN number is too old, not on their system. And then they still need to order parts, could be from overseas.

Old or not, if Nissan Japan recalls all need to be replaced even if your car is out of warranty!!!! A legal thing that they need to adhere to!

2004 4.8 - mine also recalled.

2011 Patrol 4800 GRX is affected... Looks like it is the Takata issue... potentially dangerous airbags!!!

I spoke to Nissan in Centurion this afternoon. Apparently they're running a recall campaign for another part at the moment. They took my details and will contact me when they're running a campaign for this issue again. Interesting approach...

Yep I cant seem to convince Nissan that I want new airbags as well.............

They've taken my details and VIN, and are going to get hold of the service people and sort it out

Is only 2002 models affected?
