A F I K import tax is 41% plus 14 % VAT ,, that would chase up the price

Any car not built in SA is subject to import duties - whether it is imported by you personally or Nissan S.A. It's a huge part of the price of the car.

Thats exactly what gets me going . Surely the Aus Patrol has been taxed by that time aswell?
Say the unit costs 500k in randelas at the factory with the plastic still on the seats.
Aus authorities knock another 270k for their duties. That gives you their selling price Down Under of 770k.
Now along comes Nissan SA buys a unit for 500k and markets it for 1,23mil.
750k markup of which 50 % at most goes to duties and vat. Perdedrolle is vye...

Why would they sell it cheaper than 200 Cruiser ??????? Makes no sense

My wife sent Oupa Mac the pics of the Patrol when I did the last Nissan Trail Seeker MTB race. It is a fantastic vehicle that kicks a cruisers arse. The Patrol is also full house option with every conceivable gadget in it. Seen four in the area were I live and maybe one day I could afford it.
