'n Pel van my wat by Nissan 'n verkoopsbestuurder is, het dit bevestig: Y62, slegs op bestelling, beskikbaar vanaf kwartaal1 2017. Hy was van mening dat die Y61 nog as "goedkoper opsie" beskikbaar sal wees, totdat ek hom vertel het van die 'Aussie discontinue'. Sy antwoord sal ek nie herhaal nie, maar dit was nie mooi nie. :steamingears:

I believe that the dealers have now been introduced to the "new Patrol Y62" and it will be in the showrooms possibly at the end of this year......

Technically, I refer to it as the "new Y62". With the demise of live axels and similar, I just cannot bring myself to speak of it as a Patrol.

Wonder what is the fuel consumption like on that 5.6 liter beast of an engine...(5.6-litre petrol V8 engine that makes 298kW and 560Nm. ) :surprised:
i read somewhere that they are planning a diesel version with a cummins engine. They mention a 5liter v8 turbo diesel...

Agree about the live axles and I dont like the shape. Does not look like a vehicle you want to take to the bush..

Must say the Y62 takes some getting use to - the looks I mean. Here in Tanzania they've been around for about 5 years so I've had time to acclimatize :-)
Think our vehicles will retain their value better when the Y62 is launched, hold onto it.

Found this one on the web - with a few mods.

Fanus, yes I see the Nissan Titan runs with a 5.0 Cummins engine......might be the same engine what you are refering too.
