Any chance I can borrow the winch plate for a spot of reverse engineering?

The winch plate and bumper off your vehicle asseblief. Just let me know what brand of beer.

Let me know when you are ready and I will come collect but will be in Transkei 4 to 17 Mar so if over that period please keep them for me.
David,

You are first - the ones from my vehicle are yours. Fitment will probably take place next week (I am hoping here), so will keep you up to date. If you are in the Transkei, we will communicate.

Would you mind if we lend the winch plate to Peter first for a bit of a reverse engineering job (his post is a little later in the thread) ?

I'll be in touch as things happen.

Drean,

Mini Patrol was first, and requested my bumper. So he gets it. My father's bumper is available now. It's a silver one, but has seen better days. It's not that bad, but has a crack on the right hand side, and the left is a little dodgy. You're welcome to it, if you want it. It may just be a little far... I'm up in Brits / Pretoria area. If you can arrange transport, feel free to collect it.

Peter - I'd be happy to, but it up to David. David has requested it. If he's happy to hold off collection for a bit (quite a bit - it's not off my vehicle yet - I am waiting for my bumper), I'm more than happy to send it to you first.

David,

I'm not sure when the fitment will be done. Ultimately, I'd like to lend the winch plate to Peter for a bit of a, as he called it, reverse engineering exercise. I think it could be good the the forum in the long run as we could potentially all benefit....

Should the fitment not be entirely in time for your Transkei trip (I am currently looking at about Friday next week), I am happy to keep everything for you. BUT: would youmind if I lend lend the winch plate to Peter for a few hours so that we can get a "copy" made ? On the understanding that it is a "non-destructive" exercise. I'll happily forgo my "beer charge" in this case...

It is all up to you.

Ian - Thanks a mil. No hurry and I will collect bumper from you and plate from PC when you are ready. I have some other little ideas I wish to chat to him about anyway. Not going to be fitting anything before Transkei so no worries and if I saw correctly you are doing the Swazi trip the day after I return so we can sort after that. I would not accept it without providing beers so please let me know which brand.

Drean - My front bumper also has some dings and holes but you can possibly make 1 up from mine and Ian's dad's. Will chat once I take mine off.

Drean - Probably best if we get the 2 together up here, bubble wrap and send you the best parts - nought73 twodouble5 ate7ate1 - I might be replacing my rear bumper in April and you are 1st in line if you do not have one yet. Interested to know how they stole front and back bumpers as the front in particular is a mission to remove.

David,

Great - I'll let you know when the bumper is ready for collection. The winch plate, I'll give to Peter, and you can get it from him when he's done with it.
