yes the only electronics are the electric window, central locking and the wipers on my Patrol.......thats about it

messes up the radi and clock AND the "Auto run" on te freekin windows .. BUT the the warning lights does go out for a couple of kilometers :-)

Tried it last night and connect it back again this morning

No difference, but maybe a little..... not sure but my mind tells me it is slightly better
They did a software update on my 2010 GU last year and it was really better. I was told that there was some issue with the "software" and it tends to loose some "data" which in turn causes a loss in power - this was a call back from Nissan! Maybe something to look into?

I am going to ask Nissan for and update on mine also.( if their is one available) for interim, I will disconnect the battery once a month from now on when I fill up and do all the other checks. definatly worth it for me

Can anyone verify that there could be a software update that could be applied to slightly earlier versions 4.8 etc.
If I go to my local dealer they give me a very blank stare...
