I cannot get sued on this since the facts speak for themselves.
You DO pay for the Glassfit "free" fitment, since it determines your premium!
Call either Glass fit or PG and they quote you R7500 for the front screen.
Call one of the independent fitment centres that do not have a deal going with the insurers and it is R1,500 or even less!
(and if R1,500, in Cresta, is too much for, you can always go to Pretoria North - Gezina - where it will cots you R850!)

As a matter of principle, I went for the independent guys, even though it meant I had to pay myself and then claim it back form the insurer, rather than having the insurer pay Glassfit directly with no payment from my side.

I used these guys. The windscreen was the real thing, shatterprufe and all, with the blue shade at the top.

They were very thorough. Its has been about 6 months, no issues. So I can definitely recommend them.

Just check with your insurer if they are happy with this arrangement.
Remember, if you go to Glassfit of PG, you are effectively helping to up your own (and my) premium.

Wat Alex hierbo gesĂȘ het is waar. Boonop smokkel die versekeraars se agente en die leweransiers ondermekaar en ons word uit gebuit.
