If anyone wants to have a look at this project .... have a look here, there are a few pages already, but its an interesting read !!

If anyone who knows David or even if you don't know him and wants to pop a few "bob" into this "non profit" project ( even a small amount as these will add up to a larger amount ), send me or davidvdm (David) a PM. I'm not going to go into details but David deserves a little break here after many many years of rough times.

That "buzz" kinda makes it difficult. It's one thing coming on here and saying "hey guys check what I have done, in my own time and with my own money. If you don't like the way I did it, tough. But when you have guys pooling resources and money, it's not your project and the level is suddenly raised.
Sure there are guys out there that have contributed that will look at this thing when it's done and comment that they would have done it different, or better.
Then we may have a few guys from the forum under one roof physically working on the Sani, who knows how that will go

Damn, oops, pushed the post button be mistake.
What I was hoping for, is a member or two who maybe has second shocks, or springs, or whatever, that they have laying around collecting dust after they had done an upgrade to there there Troll.
I can't believe we don't have enough "stuff" laying around between the forum members to do this project, and use the money on the parts that have to be manufactured. The propshafts are probably my biggest worry.
If we go the divorced transfer route, we have three shafts to build. The best transfer pickup shaft would need a double Cardan joint

. Add front and rear shafts with new slip joints, as the existing props I have slip in the box on the rear and the front slip is very small (may just be usable). That could turn into a R7K exercise on it's own.
Then I will be looking for someone to cut and weld my sump. And the last niggly, replacement diesel tank/s.

This morning got another donation and our account is now at R6800.
Looking to purchase this
http://www.4x4community.co.za/classifie ... duct=28103 .
Just waiting for final details on the rear diff as it needs to be right drop to line up to the doubler.
Seems the rear is original Chev with regear to suite Hilux front.
Just a few bob more in the account and we ready to move with this.

Little update.
Over the past week or three, we have received some good contributions to the project. Yesterday we made a move and the donor vehicle was purchased.

Reenen has offered to pick it up for us in Wellington. Once at his farm, a stock take of what we can use, will begin.
We have seen some sets of Safari diffs for around 10-15k, transfers for around R3,5k, so getting this donor for R8k seems a good deal.

CEDRIC, we need to chat about them KL71's.
Once we got all the bits off the Sani we do not need, I am going to have a sale of items with the idea of raising money for the KL's. With a slight bit of planning now, 33's should fit.
NOW, how we doing with a club deal, or even better, some type of sponsorship deal

...
Doubt I'll ever be driving in a Bridgestone challenge again with the Safani/Salami, or whatever ever we gonna call it

... It's probably going to be considered as "too modified".
Sure Khumo would like some advertising space on something like this

...

We can try again on the sponsorship side, but they aren't as big a company as Bridgestone and the likes, but they will still do the Club special price thing for us. We can look into it for sure. Will it still be the same rims?

I'll have to go check, but think I've got 6J and 7J. Presently running 31's on the big set, and I have six of them, so they make up a nice set with two spares for the bumper. Got no idea how I am going to hang two 33's off the back bumper.
Here are the two next to each other....
