It should work on the ZD30 as it is imported from Japan and they adopted the OBDII from 2003 or is it 2004?

Scuba,
It seem according to pricecheck the cheapest I could find was from Zasttra.com in Pietermaritzburg.
Myself and Mamba would be buying each a unit. This way I can void the shipping cost up to Gauteng.

You should be able to get one on eBay for under R100 with free shipping.
e.g. search for 261502383064, which is the one I ordered, they have reasonably good feedback compared to the rest.

JJ,
Thank you.
I will have a look. Never ordered through eBay but there is always a first time.
Here are screen shots taken of the functions that is selectable to be monitored, a screenshot of the fault code screen and one showing the typical presentation with live data.

Apologies for late entry again - been a busy day!
Unfortunately I have no other Nissan vehicle to test it on, but I do not think that there will be more functions than we have seen so far - although I have not used the bottom left menu option yet.
Even so, if you can get the bluetooth connector for a good price it should still be a worthwhile buy.
I bought mine on ebay about 3 years ago and cant remember what I paid - for thise of you that have never bought things on ebay, amazon etc, you are missing out big time - I have been doing this for years and have aquired many things that I would not have been prepared to buy locally due the higher prices in SA. There are two things to note though, you pay a tax when it arrives in ZA, and teh shipping is sometimes prohibitive.
Good luck!

Hi I have been using the NDS II phone and a couple of other Android apps as well, which are worth a mention.
Car Gauge, it can do as much as NDS II, maybe a little more customizable, there is a limited lite version available.
The other one I like is Econ Tool, which is free this gives feeds on average consumption, current consumption, last trip time, consumptions, kilometres etc etc, quite good for records and knowing what you can do with your fuel. And 2 trip meters, along with all the data that NDS II and Car Gauge give.
Reading Transmission module data nobody from above has that yet, even NDS II windows PC version does not have that, I have requested that NDS developer add that, but no reply

Vanhack,
I had a look on the Android store but could net get hold of the Econ Tool you referred to. Is this the correct name for the application you referred to?
As the postal sector is on strike I am still waiting for my eBay Blue Tooth adaptor which I ordered.
Hope they are still on the way.
Thanks.
