Hi Tinus,

Okay thanks for the follow up! I will be sure to reinsulate the MAF plug properly today to prevent that short :) Most replies im getting are coming down to fuel system. The pump was done some time last year, replaced I mean. Not sure how to test fuel pressure to see if its the pump or what?? I have pinched off the fueel return line before as advised by oom Frans, but it made no difference to the power. Not sure what that means ;) I replaced the fuel filter about 2 months ago, and it seemed good for a day or two then went back to sukkeling. I took the in-tank pump and level sensor out to check that filter bag thingy, and its clean. Looks like i'll have to test the fuel pump, question is how!?

Again I saw graham plumb in a pressure gauge just before the regulator on the 4.5 the pipe on the tee is long so you can drive with it and monitor it ......via your window and coming out under the bonnet om te meet is om te weet ....
I had one bad tank of feul with water in in moz cost me 3 feul filters to short out

Got hese readings for the 4.5's MAF sensor wires:

"TB45
There should be a Black/Red wire, Black and White wire Term 2,3 &4
With the car idling, warmed up in nuetral and ac off there should be the following
The 3 (B) should be reading 0v
The 4 (W) should be reading 1.3 to 1.8v, and with the engine at 2500rpm should be 2.1 to 2.5v
With the car of disconnect the MAF plug turn the ignition on and test
The 2 (B/R) should be reading the battery voltage"

Can someone confirm if these voltages seems correct?

And then I read that it is a good idea to reset the ECU (by unplugging the battery overnight) after cleaning the MAF sensor. Is this neccesary?
Apparently the ECU "studies" your driving style for 2-3 days and then adjust settings accordingly. (this true?)
With my wife being the regular driver, I am wondering how good idea it is for the ECU to "study" her driving style.... :rolling:

The Mass Airflow Sensor yipp
whatever you do don't short those wires out you can pop the ECU very easy :salute:
