Speaking under correction but it sounds like only the 12v and egt unit ....when going that route rather buy the full one for about 2.7 to 3k

Andre, while I realize your wallet must be feeling the strain, I definately recommend a full set.

The more things you measure, the better chance you have of preventing damage if a problem occurs. Oil pressure and water level and temp warnings can easily save an engine if a water pipe or an oil filter seal pops...

Peter its hectic but I do agree, but with the wallet being drained I have to find some other way to get a hold of the full set.

And being set up exactly, but it all depends what you want to do with it, a used turbo diesel is always risky unless full history is known. Must admit I'd still buy turbo although the none is still more reliable and should give you at least 400000km! My turbo has now done 221000km all is well except for altenator bearing and a fuelpump drive seal.
Which got better consumption the turbo or non turbo 4.2?

I use to get between 6.5 to 7.5 km a liter on the non turbo gu wagon and now after I did a rebuild and turbo mod Im at about 9-10km/l so yes turbo model is definatly alot lighter and more responsive but If you are looking to tow long continious distances for hours and days on end id say non turbo it might be slow but it'll just go and go. Although I towed a full cattle trailer empty from Rustenburg and back full from heidelberg +-550 km and I burnt about 70liters of diesel. And I was stuck in jhb traffic for a total of 2hours that day.
