Ok,
A quick question,
I haven't read all the relevant info, so, if it says no engine mods, then what about you Ricster, and Grant and Myself and Christo with the aftermarket turbo's on the 4,2's?
Will that still be allowed?

Am I reading this correctly?
No engines changes will be permitted other than the original equipment from the factory.
Any alternative engine even if manufactured by the same manufacturer will not be
allowed.
My GQ never came out with a turbo, so that's it for me. I'm out...

I'm busy trying to get clarification on this...
My thing is this.....
All our GU( GL) and GQ - TD 4.2 Patrol Station wagons in South Africa never came out with the turbo as standard. The Patrol Pick up did however. As far as i know there are TD 4.2 station wagons that come standard with a turbo and intercooler overseas.
The motor in the 4.2 Patrol pickup and the 4.2 Patrol station wagon is identical. So.... I feel that this is a modification. Nothing has changed to the engine. It is still a 4.2 6 cylinder in line motor.
Give me a few bits of time here and I'll let you know !!

Ek stem saam Oom Mac,
Its like a VanderLinde conversion on a 4,5 or 4,8. It enhances the engine without adding extra components.
But in My case or in some of the GU guy's cases we've added to the original setup. Let us know Cedric, thanx.
Not yet sorted the exhaust, maybe next week.
OT but the all say that they do put boxes at the back. So, now I'm still in two minds.

Eish,
Had a look at my diary,
I might be going to Underberg that weekend.
And I have to fix a few things, like auto hub and exhaust and front recovery points in any case before I can enter the comp.
