Most Russian spec wagons use the H260 diff as well.

Gerrit, yes and no, haha,Seems to be a conflict of information. Yes, not ALL wagons and coil cab chassis models ran H233B rear ( i am duly corrected, you are absolutely right), BUT,..... there are models issued with them for sure.
Something i found: (Unfortunately i can't find this list with a date of manufacture to further illustrate.)
G60 Font C216 ?SPL
G60 rear H260 ?SPL Heavy Duty model
G60 rear C216 ?SPL SWB
MQ/ MK Patrol Front C200 29 Spline, 1.20" shaft
MQ/MK Patrol Rear H233 31 Spline, 1.26" axle
GQ front H233B 31 SPL
GQ coil rear H233B 33 SPL
GQ leaf rear H260 37SPL
GU front H233B 31SPL
GU rear H233B 'small' 33SPL
GU H260 'large' 37 spline
GU H260 'large' 34 spline, full-floating
Another one i found of interest: (this one with some dates)
Y61 Patrol GU
Front
1998 on H233B 32.0 (1.26") 31 All RD78A
Rear
1998 on H233B 'small' 33.3 (1.31") 33 All RD17
1998 on H260 'large', 37 spline 38.4 (1.51") 37 All RD71
H260 'large', 34 spline 34 All NA (Leaf sprung ute)
Y60, Patrol GQ
Front
1988-98 H233B 32.0 (1.26") 31 All RD09
Rear
1988-98 H233B, rear disc brakes 33.3 (1.31") 33 All RD17
1988-98 H233B, rear drum brakes 33.3 (1.31") 33 All RD24
1988-98 H260, leaf sprung cab chassis & utility 38.4 (1.51") 37 All RD70
Correct,The 233 / 260 does indeed denote the crownwheel diameter. (mm)

What this thing needs is an extra rear axle and coil springs all round.
