Just Vaseline or white grease the base of that "poeliesmannitjie" (pilot ???) - to prevent it from toppling over too easily [it will still topple under hard braking or when you swerve [you know - those movements just before an accident happens ...] then the clothes peg becomes obsolete.

Oom Mac I think if you do that it might not return to the middle after it has fallen over? The design is such that it is only the weight of the ratchet pall (finger?) that returns the ball to centre, and the pall is very light.
Personally I would not want to do anything to compromise it's normal operation. :mytwocents:

Ek weet nie of ons ooit weer boeretaal sal kan praat nie, ek sien daar's nou tot 'n Amerikaner hier rond (alhoewel hy niks se nie, loer net oral rond). Miskien moet ons alles wat ons wil se in die "Campfire" afdeling sit? :rolling:

Only a shapdow of vas at the base - that thingy is supposed to have hi own balance as well [heavy in the feet, light in the head <soos ek oppe dansbaan> WWW ........]

I'll do a test when I get back from Botswa...
