not totally the same topic, but i have used a Frontline featherlite rooftop tent for the last 4 years or so , I have found it easy to erect and close down ( about 5 mins total) it is light and low profile, so i leave it on the roofrack. The other advantage is it is a light nylon, on a trip to Nam, we left Swakop at about 5 in the morning, so the dew was heavy and the outside of the tent was wet, we packed up, drove up to Windhoek and mid morning stopped at a laybye for some pad cos , we opened up the tent and in 10 mins it was dry.I would recommend the Featherlite,
Cheers

Van my kant af gee ek volpunte vir daai Fredlin gedoente!
Ek kan stoksielalleen my daktent opsit & afhaal in minder as 'n kwartier. Alles bly totaal beheersd met geen kans om myself of die kar se dak te beskadig nie. Meeste van die tyd word gespandeer word om boute vas te maak nadat die tent mooi in plek is...
Dit was een van die beste aankope wat ek nog gedoen het
